A smarter and more sustainable IT infrastructure

Take control of the entire life cycle

With circular IT, your business gets the right equipment at the right time, and you extend the lifespan of the technology you already have. This results in lower costs, a reduced environmental impact and a more resilient digital workplace.

Lifecycle management simplifies day-to-day operations

You get a flexible delivery model where everything is handled for you: orders, delivery, installation, servicing, return and secure data erasure when the equipment reaches the end of its life. The result is an efficient and well-functioning IT environment where you can focus on your core business.

You retain control over your devices, regardless of whether you buy, lease or use IT as a service. Retaken equipment can be stored, refurbished and reused, which reduces both costs and waste. A large proportion of your devices can be given a new lease of life within your own organisation or with new users.

Order

Our online shop offers a wide range of products. We can also tailor a standard range or product package to suit your requirements and needs. This range is available in the online shop, alongside any surplus equipment from your business. We continuously monitor your range and regularly replace discontinued models.

As the purchaser, you will receive detailed order summaries with tracking links, giving you a clear overview of what has been ordered. The online shop can be made available to all users, with orders approved via an authorisation workflow, or restricted to authorised purchasers only.

Our specialist staff are always available to offer advice and answer any questions you may have about the products.

Preparation

We can install new and second-hand equipment with agreed operating systems and applications before it is delivered to the user. This ensures that computers and phones are always ready for use when the user receives them. We can also tailor the preparation process and provide the equipment with customised stickers, anti-theft and inventory markings, or include a welcome letter and accessories such as a laptop bag.

This customised preparation is usually carried out at our logistics centres. Some preparation can also be carried out at one of our distributors’ premises.

Deliveries

We offer various delivery options for your products, such as delivery in original packaging to your goods reception area, unpackaged delivery, and delivery in security cabinets or security cages.

Products are dispatched from our logistics centres or directly from the distributor. We use external hauliers or our own delivery vehicles (in the Gothenburg region only). All deliveries are traceable and sustainable.

As an optional extra, we offer consolidated delivery, which means that products are dispatched only once the entire order is complete. We can also combine the delivery with the collection of old equipment. Naturally, we also arrange bespoke transport and international deliveries.

Installation

Upon delivery, we can assist with various on-site services. We can carry the products inside, unpack them at the correct location and dispose of the outer packaging. We can dismantle and pack old equipment that is to be returned to our logistics centres. We can also set up and connect the equipment on the user’s desk and ensure that the devices start up correctly. We can also assist with bespoke installation.

Operational services

We have extensive experience of outsourcing and can manage all or part of your organisation’s IT environment. We offer a wide range of ongoing services that are tailored to your needs. Examples of outsourced IT services include managing the digital workplace, security services, network equipment and printers, as well as everything related to cloud-based services such as Azure and Microsoft 365, including management and consultancy.

Service workshop

We can assist you with all aspects of warranty, insurance and service matters relating to your products. Our certified staff carry out repairs in our service workshops. We diagnose the problem and check the applicable warranty. If the repair involves costs not covered by the warranty or insurance, we will send you a quote. Once the repair is complete, we will return the product to the user. If the user has received a replacement unit upon reporting the fault (Swap), we will place the repaired unit in your stock.

Reallocation

By reusing IT equipment within your organisation, you maximise its use and give the products a second (and third) lease of life. This may be relevant, for example, when an employee leaves, a consultancy assignment ends, or temporary workstations are phased out.

Upon reallocation, the device in question is returned to us and we check the warranty and condition. The device is then tested and cleaned, and we reinstall the operating system. Secure data erasure and the addition of accessories are available as optional extras. Once the process is complete, we place the unit in your warehouse, ready to be allocated to another user.

Recall

We take care of your equipment once it has served its purpose for your business, for example when the lease term expires or the warranty ends. This means you don’t have to deal with surplus equipment, saving you both time and space. We also accept equipment from other suppliers.

Following an arrival check, we carry out a secure data wipe. If the device cannot be wiped via software, we physically destroy the storage medium instead. We also remove any customer-specific markings so that the device cannot be traced back to your organisation. We then assess whether the product should be resold, recycled, used for spare parts or donated to charity. If your organisation owns the equipment, you will receive compensation upon resale.

The building blocks of a successful IT lifecycle

From set-up and funding to storage and collaboration – every stage of the IT lifecycle plays a crucial role. Here you’ll find explanations and insights into the key elements that enable smooth and sustainable IT management for your organisation.
Establishment

Set-up, or onboarding, encompasses all the preparations made before we begin working together. Together, we set out the framework for what will be included, so that we can best meet your needs. The partnership can encompass everything from services, processes and roles to tools, integration and infrastructure. Drawing on our knowledge and experience, we provide advice and support for your organisation’s IT development. The onboarding process is led by our experienced project managers.

Support system

Support systems are a key component of life-cycle management. Thanks to our advanced support systems, we can offer fast and efficient services with a high-quality customer experience. This gives you access to all information relating to your organisation’s IT equipment, such as the location of devices and whether the warranty is still valid. Other benefits include the ability to generate bespoke reports.

Stock

All equipment is stored at one of our own logistics centres, which are strategically located across Sweden. As a customer, you have a dedicated space for your business’s products. We carry out stock takes and replenish your stock regularly to ensure that stock levels are sufficient. The current stock balance is always visible in the online shop.

When an order is placed, the unit is picked from stock, prepared and delivered to the user. Returned products are also stored in your designated space once we have checked and inspected the units.

For customers with high security requirements, a security-classified warehouse is available.

Funding

We offer a simple and flexible financing option for leasing IT equipment through Advania Finance. For a fixed cost, you gain full control over your IT equipment and can reduce your overall infrastructure costs. You are also spared all the administrative work involved in purchasing and managing old and end-of-life products. Thanks to our lifecycle management, your business will always have an up-to-date fleet of equipment, as the equipment is replaced regularly before it becomes obsolete. Products can be returned or handed back early via our web portal.

We can also take over the financing of IT equipment that is not owned by us.

Collaboration

We work according to a collaborative model to meet your business needs in a structured way. We have skilled customer teams that ensure the day-to-day operation of entire IT environments or specific services. We also hold regular forums to review user experience, efficiency, quality and the development of our services. Through close partnership, we support the growth of your business and operations. Together, we review and plan your long-term IT service requirements.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about hardware lifecycle management

What is the life cycle management of IT equipment?

Life-cycle management involves planning, managing and optimising IT equipment throughout its entire life cycle – from procurement and delivery to use, reuse and decommissioning. The aim is to gain better control over the equipment, reduce costs and extend the lifespan of each unit.

What are the benefits of hardware lifecycle management?

A structured lifecycle management approach makes it easier to keep track of the company’s IT equipment, plan replacements and reduce unnecessary purchases. It also helps to lower costs, improve security and ensure a more sustainable use of resources.

How can life-cycle management contribute to a more sustainable IT environment?

By reusing, refurbishing and recycling equipment, its service life can be extended and the need for new hardware reduced. This helps to reduce the environmental impact and supports the organisation’s sustainability goals.

How is it ensured that data is deleted when equipment is decommissioned?

When decommissioning IT equipment, certified methods are used for data erasure or the physical destruction of storage media. This ensures that sensitive information cannot be recovered and that the organisation complies with the relevant security requirements.

What IT equipment is covered by life-cycle management?

Life-cycle management can cover computers, mobile phones, tablets, monitors, servers and other IT equipment. The process can be tailored to the organisation’s needs and cover everything from procurement and stock management to take-back and reuse.
